Brookfield Properties Australia is leveraging its city-shaping skyscrapers as a natural canvas to inject colour and creativity into its precincts. With both temporary and permanent art showcased, we create vibrant spaces for communities to connect with local artists.

The bold and unexpected colours and shapes in this installation transformed the staircases at Brookfield Place Sydney, surrounding Wynyard Food Hall into a large-scale canvas to showcase creative duo Craig & Karl’s latest artwork. The artistic duo based in London and New York use their iconic style to add vibrancy and fun to public spaces bringing art out into the open for the public to enjoy.

Mural by Adnate & Tom Day, Melbourne

A collaboration between artists Adnate and Tom Day, this partnership brings together Adnate’s fine art realist portraiture style and Day’s traditional linework style.

The collaboration unites Day’s Aboriginal heritage in an ode to the Wurundjeri Woi Wurung people and continues Adnate’s collaboration with Indigenous communities. The inspiration for the mural came from the aquifurs that flow below the city and the eels which migrate towards the Yarra River which can be seen illustrated throughout the design. This mural reflects the Wurundjeri Woi Wurung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation on which Gills Alley presides.

Cheeky Birds by Noni Cragg, Sydney

Located in Wynyard Lane Cheeky Birds is a celebration of Warrang/Sydney and the beautiful birds and flowers that are present in and around the location of Brookfield Place Sydney by First Nations artist Noni Cragg.

The design includes a subtle rendering of the Sydney Harbor/Warrang birds found in the region and species of Wattle and Bottlebrush native to Eastern Australia. This mural has been created on Gadigal Land.

This collaboration between West Australian Opera and Brookfield Place Perth celebrates the journey of Koolbardi wer Wardong. The legend of Koolbardi wer Wardong has been told and retold for centuries, passed down from generation to generation. The story originated in Western Australia, this operatic retelling is retold in the traditional language, by local storytellers, creatives and performers. The Koolbardi wer Wardong mural features the two protagonists in flight, and upon close inspection patrons will be able to spot other elements from the opera and story, including other animals, sacred fireplaces and much more.
