Lee Butterworth is Executive Vice President of the Build to Rent platform in Australia at Brookfield Properties, responsible for the strategic direction and management.
Lee began his career with Multiplex Constructions in 1996, where he delivered a range of projects in both Australia and overseas. Since Brookfield’s acquisition of Multiplex in 2007, Lee has applied his experience and leadership skills to manage a portfolio of residential projects culminating with his appointment as head of the residential business unit in 2015. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Lee has knowledge in every aspect of the development and delivery process, from research, site acquisition, design, marketing, sales, finance and construction, to asset management on completion.
Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the Queensland University of Technology and holds an open builder’s license, real estate license and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
