Living up to its name, the iconic shopping center is home to more than 250 trendsetting retailers.

One of the most sought-after retail and dining destinations in the country, Fashion Show Las Vegas is strategically located on a prime corner of the famous Las Vegas Strip, the first major shopping center to open there. Nearly 20 years after its 1981 opening, Fashion Show Las Vegas underwent an expansion, adding a new wing that doubled the shopping center in size and featured a retractable runway that was used to stage weekly fashion shows.

“Fashion Show has evolved since we unveiled the world’s largest retractable runway — and so has how we best showcase a key area of our property,” says Fashion Show Las Vegas senior general manager Brent Gardner. “Over the past few years, we have found customers would rather interact more with our space rather than simply watch a fashion show. Today, we look to utilize our runway as an opportunity to showcase installations and holiday events where guests can engage with artistic and cultural pieces.”

Serving over 42 million visitors to Las Vegas annually, the shopping center lives up to its name, boasting anchor stores Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and a wealth of trendsetting fashion and luxury retailers — including such brands as Coach, kate spade new york, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, Tiffany & Co., and Tory Burch. Later this year, Marc Jacobs will unveil a new store, with more flagships expected to open in 2024, as Fashion Show Las Vegas continues to bolster its luxury brand portfolio.

“We have seen consumers shift some of their preferences to more luxury items; therefore, our merchandising mix will follow suit,” says Gardner. “We always look to ensure the breadth and depth of our offerings fit the evolving needs of our guests. Fashion Show Las Vegas has always been at the center of fashion within the Las Vegas community.”

So, it’s no surprise that when Rihanna decided to open her first brick-and-mortar Savage X Fenty store in 2022, she chose Fashion Show Las Vegas as the venue. “There were a couple of factors that led us here,” said Christiane Pendarvis — Savage X Fenty co-president & chief merchandising and design officer — during a recent Voice of the Retail Revolution webinar. “Number one, Savage X Fenty/Vegas kind of makes sense . . . it’s somewhat of our brand personality. And when we were looking at a market like Vegas, we thought, ‘where’s the preeminent location for us to go?’ and obviously, Fashion Show was that location. We had a great partnership with the team from Brookfield to make sure we found the right location within this property that was going to showcase us, that had the right co-tenancy, and the right level of exposure. All those factors combined led us to know that this was the right place for our first store.”

More than just a place to showcase fashion brands, Fashion Show Las Vegas offers a wealth of dining options, with many sit-down restaurants located along a lush walking path right on the Strip. Guests at hibachi chain Benihana can enjoy fresh sushi and sashimi options and a colorful cocktail on the patio, dine at one of 18 teppanyaki tables, or sit and watch master chefs at work at one of four sushi bar tables. At The Capital Grille, Strip-side dining and front-row people watching are the perfect complement to world-class wines and dry-aged steaks. Galpão Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse offers yet another exceptional experience, where guests can choose from 17 different cuts of meat sliced tableside. And with more than 100 different specialty tequilas and guacamole made-to-order, El Segundo Sol is the ideal spot for a festive happy hour to kick off the evening.

Inseparable from fashion, art is an integral part of what Fashion Show Las Vegas has to offer. From the Matthew Hoffman “Be Brave” installation in the Neiman Marcus court to the “Time to Dream” mural outside the immersive experience Fantasy Labs/Dreams, and from the “Be Kind to Bugs” 3D vibrant desert landscape piece created by local artist Michael Dodson and curator Patrick Duffy to the huge, geometric, laser-cut 3D sculptures created by HYBYCOZO, the shopping center’s vast array of local, national, and international artwork showcases and reflects its local community.

Covering 1.8 million square feet, Fashion Show Las Vegas is committed to reducing its impact on the environment through sustainability initiatives like its 3,600 rooftop solar panels and its new fleet of electric security vehicles. “Sustainability is something we think about in every layer of our decision-making and placemaking processes,” says Gardner. “We are very proud of the amount of electricity we generate from our solar array atop our white roof, our full LED lit center, low flow water devices, recycling efforts, and constant monitoring of our water and power consumption through our building management system.”

Focused on meeting and exceeding the needs and expectations of its guests, retail partners, and surrounding community, Fashion Show Las Vegas is reimagining the retail experience for a new generation of consumers. “It’s a very exciting time to be part of the Las Vegas community, which continues to evolve and push the boundaries of what it means to operate within the retail, food, and entertainment space,” adds Gardner.
