Alireza (Ali) Esmaeilzadeh is Executive Vice President, Head of Asset Management of our U.S. retail business at Brookfield Properties.

Ali joined Brookfield Properties in 2018 through the Forest City acquisition and has held leasing and asset management roles across office and retail sectors, as well as executive development roles for multifamily and office asset classes. Prior to joining Brookfield Properties, Ali headed the NYC offices of Forest City Enterprises and previous to that, he was a banker in the investment banking division of Scotiabank in Toronto, Ontario.

Ali received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and graduated with honors from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.

Ali proudly serves on the Brooklyn Hospital’s Board of Trustees, as well as the boards of Greenpoint Manufacturing Design Center, and The Acting Company. He is the Chairman of the MetroTech Business Improvement District; board member and secretary of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership; board member of the Times Square Alliance and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
