As Chief Revenue Officer, Troy Benson leads our sales teams, including all facets of leasing, business development, and big box.

Troy has been with Brookfield Properties for more than 25 years. In that time, he has worked in nearly every sector of our leasing team. He most recently served as the Executive Vice President of leasing for Brookfield Properties’ retail group and oversaw leasing activity for the more than 150 million square feet of retail space within the portfolio. Additionally, Troy oversees the more than 20,000 annual transactions that encompass our permanent leasing, business development, and big box leasing strategies.

Earlier in his tenure, Troy was Vice President of Asset Management, and oversaw marketing, leasing, and the management teams of 45 regional shopping centers. His robust real estate career began in Florida, where he worked on ground-up development projects.

Troy graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
